#TravelConnoisseur Part 2 Pictures of my room and grounds around my room

Attended a 3 day business retreat with my office last week and we stayed at The Magdalena Grand Beach Resort. If the drive to the resort pass the golf course and other villas wasn’t beautiful enough you’re greeted by a few steps of a cascading waterfall / pond landscape (you know the kind of stuff you see on HGtv) as you approach the check-in area of the hotel. We did have a slight delay with the rooms but I didn’t take it in a bad way because of the size of the group that was checking in, things happen and the customer service representatives handled the situation very professionally.

The rooms were clean and designed really nice. They had the technology of a 4 Star Resort as well with Voice over Ip Phones, HD Television, Wireless Internet in the rooms and throughout the entire compound so I could’ve been anywhere and stay connected. I didn’t use room service but did have an issue with my television of which they had no problem rectifying even though I called the front desk after 11pm and it was taken care of the next day. Only issue I had with the room was the bathroom. Though it was great with tub, the shower enclosure was a little small.

If you’re into art like me you’ll appreciate the two authentic Caribbean artwork pieces in the room (see pics above). Slide open the door to gallery of my room on the ground floor and it’s literally steps to the beach but even better for me it was even less steps to this average size infinity pool, at sunrise it was just the most beautiful place to be and when the sun goes down… Ladies I got the bottle of wine… come meet me!

Food….Food….and more Food! The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner left me confused every single day. Hats off to the Chef…Give the Chef a raise people! I know my exercise group is going to be upset with me for eating so much but to balance that the Hotel does come with a 24HR Gym with Sauna.

The grounds of the hotel is beautiful (see Part 1 ) and the staff kept busy keeping it clean as well as ensuring the comfort of all the visitors to the hotel. The main pool is nice and big with a swim up bar and they even have a multilevel lounge area for sun tanning.

So overall I love the place and will definitely be visiting there again. They got a beautiful little garden area with a pergola that would be nice for a small wedding hmmm…hint hint Magdalena!

Definitely worth it!
